Theo Heinsbroek is owner of SeKuRiGo b.v. With over 10 years of experience, SeKuRiGo is a reliable partner in the field of information security, identity and access management, risk management and IT audit. In these areas, Theo advises clients on compliance with laws and regulations, risk management and operational effectiveness. Larger organizations in various branches in the Netherlands belong to the clientele. SeKuRiGo helps organizations make strategic and tactical choices in the areas of information security, identity and access management, risk management and IT audit.

Theo is an experienced Security officer with a great deal of knowledge about the effective operationalization of laws and regulations and the industry standard (ISO: 27001). His approach is risk management and risk assessments instead of “compliance as a checklist”. His character has been largely formed by the Royal Netherlands Navy and the Ministry of Defense.

Theo links the theory and the broad lines of the various study programs to his own practical situations and those of students, so that the theory is directly connected to practice. Theo often challenges students to quote practical situations so that other students can also learn from them. During the lessons there is a lot of time for interaction and he stimulates the students to participate actively.
